Team members learn about the process of effectively designing a building for a client, communicating with a client, value engineering, and compiling a proposal.
The Design Build team lead for the year is Michael Nishikawa:
Mixed use
The Mixed Use team acts as a project team for Morley Builders, addressing issues including cost, logistics, schedule, and coordination in their proposal. They present as a project team to the Morley Builders judge panel, which acts as upper management.
Team members learn about site logistics (with an emphasis on concrete and its phasing), reading plans, mitigating common issues on the jobsite, and communicating with upper management.
The Mixed Use Team Lead for the year is Luca Cordova:

The Sustainability team acts as a consultant for an owner, represented by Skanska in the case of this competition. The team develops a comprehensive plan that takes into account:

Team members learn about both tried-and-true and trailblazing methods for executing a more effective and environmentally-conscious project.

SOLUTIONS
The Concrete Solutions team, newly established this year, is tasked with planning
and managing the construction of a building made of one of the most utilized construction materials, concrete. The team works collaboratively to create a proposal consisting of:

Team members learn about Revit, a high-in-demand software skill, as well as broader hard and soft skills through the collaborative project.
